Miscellany by George W. Woodland

Preface This first Chapter of George W. Woodland describes his life in the 1870s on a family farm in East Cumberland County, Nova Scotia near the town called Wallace. His grandfather lived nearby his father's farm. The chapter takes us through the seasons of the year on the farm and is an excellent description of what life on a farm during that period was like.  His daughter Margaret Jane Woodland's daughter was Pessah Ogilvie who married Charles Drysdale so this is his connection to the family.
